Ulysse Nardin Watches

A manufacturer of watches since 1846, Ulysse Nardin has a great and honorable philosophy: that a mechanical precision movement is always going to last longer and perform better than Quartz or another type. They have been in the business for so long, we should probably take their word for it.

Ulysse Nardin has not only mastered the behind-the-scenes aspect of the watches, but they have also perfected the art of lacquering to embellish their watches. A common element throughout their watches, lacquering is an art form that they stand by and use creatively in their timepieces. With so many elegant and intricate designs, this brand deserves a lot of respect and recognition for mastering the art of watch making.

Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine

Ulysse Nardin has taken diving watches to a whole new level. The beautiful design that went into making this watch is not met by most other watches. While staying so elegant, this watch retains its functionality. Wirth a 42 hour power reserve and a 300 meter water resistance, this watch is both beautiful and operational. The well made plan that was thought up to make this watch made an incredible product.

The recessed, subtle dots that adorn the dial make the watch interesting without overloading the look. The diving bezel is stainless steel with a barely-there wave pattern all around it. Blue is the dominant color in the design, and it is the color of the hands and markers.

However, there is a touch of red in the watch which makes up the minor details of it, but still makes the watch all the better. It doesn’t matter what this watch is being used for, it will do what is needed of it without fail.

Ulysse Nardin Black Ocean

The black Ocean by Ulysse Nardin has a achieved the perfect merger between subtle and intricately detailed. The watch is all black, with a few small red details.  However the colors aren’t what makes this watch interesting, it’s the slight patterns on both the diving bezel and the dial.

There is a cut-out pattern on waves in the background, complemented by a smaller wave pattern that outlines the watch of the bezel.  This watch, while still being almost entirely black, has managed to still create an interesting and detailed design. It becomes even more desirable with the fact that there are under 2000 made for sale.

The well-though out design along with amazing technical aspects such as 200 meter water resistance, a self-winding movement, and a 42 hour power reserve makes this watch both well-designed and well-made.

Ulysse Nardin Diver Perpetual Limited Edition

This watch is the definition of bold with a large size, stainless steel and black base, and bright orange accents to top it all off. Like many of Ulysse Nardin’s watches, the Diver Perpetual Limited Edition also has the details that are immediately visible, and the ones you have to look twice to notice.

These subtle details include a weave patterned dial and a wave element that goes all around the diving bezel. This watch is not just for looking at though; it is also a well made machine. The 300 meter water resistance makes it great for almost any diving expedition, and the 48 hour power reserve means you will always know the time.

This wonderful watch is also quite elusive. A limited edition issue, there are only 500 of these watches made to be sold.
